Description
The clock measures 49 inches long and 15 inches wide. The paper dial is signed, but has become just a tad worn around the 8-11 numerals. It does have a subsidiary seconds hand though, which has had some repair on it, but this clock always displays the precise time. Great carvings decorate the entire case, as does the burled inlaid veneer. All the finials appear to be original . The bust on the headpiece is probably a replacement, as is the pendulum rod. It has been refinished. It has one brass weight which runs down the center of the rectangular door. Made by Gilbert in Winsted, CT
