Description
spring driven. Has a heavy, well machined calendar movement, with center ribbon for the date. Note the ribbon has been replaced and hand numbered and could be improved; the day and month rollers are original paper in good condition. The well made 8-day movement is of the best quality with solid plates and cut steel pinions; porcelain dial and "R-A" pendulum are prefect. Of special note is the original gold leaf tablet, with openings for dial and calendar indications. This clock was originally sold in our April '99 sale, (lot 401) and was deacessioned from the American clock and Watch Museum in Bristol. The case shows a bit of regluing and staining on abraded surfaces. Still this is an unusual clock, worthy of your attention; height 35"
