Description

This is a spelter casting with the clock in the man's belly. It appears, by traces of paint on the statue that is was originally painted, and that paint is virtually all worn away, except for some crevices. The spelter has oxidized to a dark gray and overall it has nice patina and a decent look; this man is wearing beads and a feather head-dress, so is probably a chieftain. Note the alarm is set with the 3rd hand showing on the dial near 9. Movement, dial and hands are original and it seems to tick; fancy porcelain dial with polychrome decorations. Height 11 inches
