Description

Another Griesbaum carved wooden novelty from the second quarter of the 20th century; the figure has a brown jacket and tan slacks and a large blue bow-tie with white polka dots, and a well worn Bavarian style hat. The clockwork whistling mechanism is wound with a key from the rear, and the head turns from side to side while he whistles. There are some minor nicks and scrapes to the figure, but he is overall in very good condition and still whistles nicely. The base with an old ink stamp for "Germany", and a faded pencil price. Height 13"
