Description
The figure has a brown overcoat and a liquor bottle in his right pocket. The clockwork whistling mechanism is wound with a key from the rear, and the head turns from side to side while he whistles. The cap to the lantern is recently made of sheet brass; the light in the lantern is not currently working, and the bottom battery door cover for the light source is missing. Still the carving is very crisp and the colors well defined. Virtually all of these whistling figures were made by the Karl Griesbaum Co.. Height 18"
