in very good original condition, Water, life's sustainer. The only item that keeps this from being outstanding is a small chip at the winding hole. The early hand made silk thread time only movement is clean and running (with a later pendulum), and the overall quality is excellent. The case depicts a young lady at the fountain, holding the handle to her jug which has just broken and is on the ground in 2 pieces. A frieze at the base depicts 2 youngsters in a row boat trying to retrieve a net; the side of the tower with a shell an upside down anchor, sword and a trident. Height 10 inches
