Description
serial no. 11152, figural clock Rip Van Winkle, in generally good condition, the movement recently cleaned and running (note open dial to show escapement). The minuses on this clock are prominent hairlines in the multi color dial at 3 and 4, and a case on which about half the gilding has worn away, and then brushed over with gold paint. The case is very heavy white metal, copper plated and then gilded; the case is otherwise sound with no damage nor repairs. There are masks, Rip's dog and old Rip with his hat all with very good detail with rococo accents. Height 14 "
