Description
set in excellent original condition. This clock was made in oriental motif, with cuneiform dial, and with light aqua cranes amongst reeds and other shallow water plants, and the side pieces with matching decorations, floral on one side of the urn and cranes on the other. The well made bell strike movement bears the Japy trademark, plus the initials E.L., and retains original gilded hands. Note the clock also has side panels, each with a crane and 3 curved panes that accent the top. The original gilding on all pieces is still bright (with minor wear to edges and finials); this is an exceptional piece, especially for those collecting orientalia. Height 16º"
