Description
Japy, Green Tortoise shell case on base in the Boulle style, and in good condition, the brass recently polished. This style has been popular in France since the late 17th Century, and this Napoleon III version is certainly very attractive. The well made bell strike movement retains a good porcelain dial and die struck hands with good detail. The shell is in good shape, with some minor repairs. With a sunburst pendulum visible through the glazed front. Height 16.5"
