Description
Grand Sonnerie, in an attractive gorge case, fully engraved on all surfaces of all sides, floral displays on the large panels and geometric repetition along the straight lines. The multicolor porcelain dials are set in a silvered brass mask. Note the time dial has a nearly invisible hairline that runs from top to bottom. The movement is of excellent quality and retains its original lever platform and blued retainer screws; the movement is numbered 512 and with several tiny repair dates inscribed, lower left. The base cover with 3 selector positions engraved: "Gde. Sonnerie, Quarters, Silent" The movement has been cleaned and is running, striking, and alarming. Height 7.5"
