Description

This clock has two separately wound movements. The first, a time only movement that drives the hands, and a second that is tripped on the hour to strike on a bell. The center arbor of the strike movement is extended to hold the fan of the windmill, and the fan turns during the strike process, and stops when the striking is completed. The tower had a placard below the doors with the name Moulin Joly. This is an especially nice example of this model. Height 16"
