silver, with hand painted female displays. The silver has a gentle damascene pattern that reflects through the translucent enamel. The case hardware is silver (excluding movement - dial is silvered brass), with some oxidation. The top has 3 ladies in large hats in small cameos, and the same 3 faces without hats in cameos. The urn is attached to an octagon of white marble as a base. In viewing the top, realize that each cameo is only about inch high, and is hand painted with amazing detail This is an excellent example; time only.
