serial number 158232, in excellent original condition. We have had several clocks by this company in past sales: April 98, lot 400 and April 99, lot 418. In the previous two, twin male bronzes supported the gilt drum containing the movement. In this case the figures are female whose bodies blend into leafy scrolls as they descend to the base. The marble base is very dark green with gray veining, and the condition of the original gilding is outstanding. Clean and in good running order. Height 9 "
