Description

in walnut with restorations. The case has been refinished with cherry stain and is a bit too red; the front glass is now clear (was black and gold on this model), dial repainted, and the weight is home made of lead (does run the clock). This case style came in 3 sizes, of which this is the largest. It has a full length pendulum with cut and loaded glass jar (with loose chip that is taped in place); Howard's own description included: "for accuracy of performance, it is equal to anything but a compensated pendulum" . The large movement has maintaining power with dead beat escapement. Some patient work would render this a $9000 clock. Dial 14", Height 60 inches
