Description

timepiece in generally good condition. This is an interesting clock making extensive use of OG moldings which were in surplus at the time. The top bezel, the door and the case sides all with OG moldings in rosewood. The movement is an odd model, with lantern pinions, solid escape and a cast iron bottom bracket, and seems to have the flavor of Silas Terry's workshop. In addition it has an idler pulley between the plates and the cord goes up and over a wooden pulley in the case top and down the left side. The zinc dial plate has been stripped of its paint and now has a paper cover. There are some small chips in the veneer here and there; trim plate for very bottom is missing; pend bob replaced. Height 38"
