Description
House Strike tambour in an unusual Terra Cotta case. It is likely that a New York art design firm purchased this movement from Chelsea and then fashioned the pottery case to order. The case is heavy and fragile, and with some small chips and scrapes along the borders, but would restore nicely with only modest touch up and accent re-gilding. "As-is" it is still an enjoyable example of American art firms wanting to purchase the best possible American movement for use in their unique design cases. It is amazing that this fragile clock has survived intact. Height 11 inches
