Description

in the Biedermeier style. The movement appears to be original to the case, and with a separate gong standard screwed to the seat board, typical of this era. The dial has been patched with white epoxy around the winding holes; retains original cast bezel. The 3 pulleys do not match; one weight has a bent hook and hangs crooked. The movement has been cleaned and restrung, however, the governor fans have been cut down to assist striking. The case is false grained as is common in this period, and with some touch-up Although not a pristine example, this is a decent looking Biedermeier. Height 38"
