Description
Saxtons River, VT. 30-hour wooden movement Bevel Case clock. This is one of those cases that was made by Mr. Tuthill and cased with Connecticut movements and a dated label. The case is well made, with curly maple used on the bevel. The dial is in fair condition with original hands. The door knob and the lower glass are a replacement. The outer mahogany banding has some veneer loss and damage along the bottom. There are a couple of broken teeth on the strike side great wheel and the supporting block for the pinion to the count wheel is damaged. The label is dark but legible; note label calls for "brass bushings", which this movement does not have. Height 26"
