Description
Marbleized brown adamantine laquered case; brass movement; fancy brass dial; has a clean movement which operates well and strikes once on the half-hour and the full strike every hour. The label which is on the bottom of the clock case is perfect and dates the clock at 1890. 11" tall by 16" wide. Dealer comments: Adamantine was developed by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. to mimic marble. It was less expensive and a WHOLE LOT lighter to ship to the customer. The colors used in their Adamantine finishes were red brown and green-and a few variations.
