Description

Nickel plated case; brass movement of the highest quality; wrought iron stand; 11 1/4 tall by 7 wide at the base; condition: excellent. Dealer comments: This particular Chelsea clock was marketed by the famous J.E. Caldwell Jewelery Co. in Philadelphia-one of America's premier merchants of clocks and jewelery. This particular style of Chelsea clock is one that we have never found in our 38 years in the antique clocks business. The eight day mechanism is clean, running well and and keeping good time. The case is clean undamaged and free from pitting. The stand is also in excellent condition with a black wrought iron vine and leaf design. The dial has some minor spotting on it's unusual sand-textured surface.
