Description
Wooden movement and dial, for which a C.1990 custom case was made by Varne Kimmick, and a brass plaque inside the door to attest the work. The lines of the case are those of a New England country cabinet maker, however Varne used solid walnut for this case, with the result that it is very heavy. The dial has had a repair in the arch above the 11; and the signature is a little weak (but fully legible). The weights are repro rock/sand filled. Seems to run; height 81 inches $500-700
