Description
with attractive amboyna wood veneer and brightly gilded mounts (some veneer chips to case). While doing the inspection we noticed the verge was so worn that it was skipping an extra tooth every now and then, and will need professional attention. Moreover, there's and extra set of dial feet holes in the dial plate, probably indicating a change of movement at some time. The bezel and dial are original to the case, the dial signed Roblin Hrs, a Paris; the well made "Vincenti and Cie" movement is repairable. Clock is slightly smaller than previous lots; would have been $1500 if all correct. Height 16" Reserve $600
