Description

A very fine oak and mahogany English 8-day moonroller painted dial longcase clock with reeded tapered columns gilded Corinthian capitals and shell inlay to door and base, fine cross and feather banding sitting on ogee feet. Four pillar movement with hour chime on a bell, subsidiary seconds and date ring with painted moonroller disc. Maker "Thomas Blakeway", Wellington. The provenance of this clock was Ken Hill in Snettisham, Norfolk, this residence housed the famous furniture of "Thomas Jeckyll". 91" x 20.5" x 10" Additional keywords: longcase, tallcase, grandfather
