Description

Although international popularity of this design has caused reproductions to spring up in the last decade, this clock appears to have been made around 1900, yet bears the signature of Goslink Ruempol, a famous Dutch maker in the years 1725-50. Clock has lost its pendulum (a drawing is included), and has recent weights with proper brass covers. The dark oak case has well detailed carvings of mermaids, each blowing a trumpet, and with 3-dimensional tails covered with carved "fish scales'. This is a large and impressive clock. Height of case 27'
