Description
Oak case in Classical architectural design with Corinthian columns and the oak carved to model stone work. The dial is silvered brass. Probably made by the German company Winterhälder und Hoffmeir although the W and H stamp is not present. The movement substantial and of high quality. It is unusual in having 2 winding holes but strikes and chimes, a cam being used to move the pin barrel for striking the hour. Height is approx. 17" Additional keywords: mantel, shelf, mantle
