Description

a substantial clock with lattice style doors covering the dial. When the door are opened, the clock and a full weather station are revealed: hygrometer to the left, barometer in center and Centigrade thermometer to the right. The clock has a very large spring, which is fully would, but the well jeweled escapement ticks for a minute or so and stops; it is our belief that it is only dirty. The top of the dial is lettered "LeRoy and Fils", who most likely retailed the clock in Paris. The dial mask is deeply engraved with a scroll and floral pattern and the gilding is still intact; gilding on the exterior is mostly worn off. This was the best you could buy 30 years ago. Height 8" $600-800
