Description
dore bronze and gray onyx. This is a little jewel of a clock, the dial surround of engine turned brass, silvered and then with translucent blue enamel over the top. The center of the dial is ivory-like, some porous material with a hand painted scene of 3 cherubs in the clouds (there is a minor vertical crack in this panel). Two tune music box is wound from the bottom and released by a lever on the movement, and plays in lively fashion on manual activation. The well jeweled 8-day movement is wound and set from the rear, however stops when it approaches the set alarm time; worth the attention to restore. Height 5" $1400-1800
