Description

This clock has a typical Ives type strap brass movement (see Ken Roberts' book on Ives, page 129, fig 33). Retains original dial with gilt corners and inspection window above the center shaft (mirror is replaced and no rod up through top hole - simple to fix). The faux tortoise shell columns have been professionally restored and look great. Lower tablet is new (very nicely done) Label torn, but intact and legible. Clock was restored about 20 years ago and is dusty, but is ticking and striking, cable good, only needs oiling. Height 37" Reserve $500
