serial number 2,203,545. This clock is made of solid oak (even the backboard) and to the highest standards. It is VERY heavy (50 lb.) and requires a strong nail to hold it. The full turned columns on the door are accented with Noveau influence bases and capitals, and a finely carved top of scrolls and floral designs. The best words I can describe are "understated elegance". The movement has a silvered brass dial on which the numbers have been touched up, and retains original hands and pulleys; movement is original to the case. Strikes the hours and halves on a large iron Gloria gong. Height 44" $800-1200
