Description
A music box in the base is powered by the second train of the lever movement. The music is actuated at will by a button on the rear. The globe is driven by the 30 hour time movement, rotating once in 24 hours, thus providing world time at a glance. The equator ring is numbered from 1 to 12 twice for ease in calculating times. Local time is set on the front dial in conventional fashion. The globe was made by Ludwig Heymann, Geographischer Verlag, Berlin, and so signed, along with the name "ERDGLOBUS ' Globe diam 7', Height 14.5'
