Description

The main case has a molded top and bottom and retains bright yellow gilding in good order. There is a mask around the two dials, attractively engraved with flowers and scrolls. The well made bell strike movement has an open escapement on the dial. The calendar dial, in addition to the day, date, and month, indicates the phase of the moon. The rotating moon disc, and the "cloud' surround are fired porcelain, the moon and stars painted in fine detail. The beveled glass is all perfect. Movements professionally restored and in working order; original pendulum. As nice a French calendar as we have ever seen. Height 18'
