Description
in a great ormolu architectural case, with reeded Corinthian columns and finely detailed capitals at all 4 corners. The porcelain dial has a chip below the 6; the rest is fine (floral wreath center and dark blue numerals). Interestingly the movement is numbered 1941, and the bezel is numbered 1491, but they definitely came together and the workman simply transposed two of the numerals. The movement has been professionally cleaned and is running and striking well. The F/S rod above 12 is missing, so adjust on pendulum only (minor). Heavy beveled glass is all good; mercury pendulum intact. Overall a well made clock with a great look. Height 14" And a conservative reserve of $375
