We've had several of these clocks in the past, and this model is pictured in Tardy's La Pendule Francaise , part II, page 472, and is classified as "Horloge de table Fantasie". Note pendulum fine adjustment is by thumb screw at the top. The unique thing about this clock is that the case is engraved all over and then with polychrome decorations; we had one Serial number 13068; we had one with the same engraving in April of '99, lot 257.
