with bim-bam gong strike, as-found. This clock came to us from storage and is absent glass except over the dial. It has an interesting 2-note strike mechanism with a helper spring added behind the rear plate (not all that uncommon on Beckers at this time). Many repairmen removed the device, as it does require set-up., ie you have to start a new cord with the spring wound down etc. Note the dial center has been changed to a plain piece of brass and painted gold; bob with a couple of dents; weights with cup-hooks that need replacing; crutch poorly repaired with solder, but can be saved by a good workman; dirty.
