Description

of Sevres quality, but unsigned, in the style of Louis XVI. Note the under side of the clock has a couple of small chips that do not show unless the clock is turned over. The front depicts a mother in the garden with her child, spinning wool on a hand spindle. The sides of the clock are decorated with 24k gold, a mandolin, arrow and ring on each side. The case is fully mounted with ormolu accents and feet and with a spray at top . The porcelain dial has a hand painted winged cherub with flowers and is perfect. Strikes on a gong; running. If this case were perfect, we would expect it to fetch $2000. Height 17" $900-1200
