Description
Among the more common of this series, these continue to be very popular, partly because the "automaton' feature (the pendulum) runs the full duration of the clock. A complex series of joints, rods, and counter weights transforms conventional escapement action into the up and down motion of the steam hammer pendulum, all without the "overrun' that is required in a bouncing doll system. Cosmetically, this example is missing the guard rail on the left side and the linkage up to the steam valve has been replaced improperly. Generally very good condition; Height 17.5'
