Description
This clock is in excellent running and striking order and the paper/card dial is one of the nicest I've ever seen; date hand moves automatically; day name and month are moved manually at the end of each month. The minus is the bottom carved trim that was lost and replaced with a flat piece of walnut; drawings are available if you have a wood carver. Interior label mostly gone; rear label OK. The walnut veneer on the top bezel is excellent. See Ly's book on calendar clocks, page 94 for additional details on how Gilbert circumvented Maranville's patent on this dial configuration. Worth $1700 if it had the bottom carving. Height 34" Reserve $900
