mahogany with restorations. The case has been refinished and the lower door re-venered (an OK but not perfect job). Retains good tablet and interior label (showing 1871 patent date)), a little aged but fully legible. Original dial intact with minor flaking. Not a bad school clock; height 23" $175-225
