Description
Although this clock will need some work (the arm up to the tongue has been poorly soldered and come loose), the potential is there to end up with a very good clock. The movement with cut pinions and a double wheel chaff cutter escape is well made, and with a trademark: RM, Gebetzlich Geschutzt in a circle. In operation, the tail and the tongue are extensions of a pivoted pendulum (see lead pendulum to left of movement). This dog is made of many pieces of tin soldered together, with some type of flocking glued on. There are repairs to the case, and the flocking is worn away on the reverse side; rear cover will need work to stay in place. Hands original; dial 1 inch, overall, 8" high x 11 inches long. $1100-1400
