Description
This is a very attractive serpentine clock; note the fretted top was recently repaired and repolished by a good cabinet maker; repairs disguised with black paint. Some scratches inside, on the case where it was transported with the weights in, will need attention. The well made 72 beat movement retains original dial, hands, pulleys, weights, etc. Note the chapter ring has two spider cracks (but no chips) signature unreadable. Pendulum is good with no dents and painted beat scale is original (some paint loss); good old crank as well; key lock case. Note superb pulleys with petal shaped spokes. Despite flaws, a very good clock; height 53'
