Description
time only, in an attractive scroll frame, less dome. The top of the rear frame was poorly soft soldered, and flux ran down and left spots of corrosion on the plates. Has a nice scalloped dial with engraved, wax filled numerals, and heavy baluster pillars with screwed collets front and back. Best part is that wheels all have 5 spokes (including the motion wheels). Although it runs fine, we would recommend cleaning prior to regular operation. Original pendulum and hands intact; with key. Other than the frame repair that needs cleaning up, a very well made skeleton. See "sister" to this clock in Derek Roberts' book British Skeleton Clocks, page 25. Height 12" $800-1000
