Description

This clock is in excellent condition. There is some minor touch up on the white portion of the dial, mostly around the winding holes. Retains original hands, bezel, tablet, pendulum, and finish (lightly varnished over). See this model in Palmer"s Treasury of American Clocks, page 102, and also in Ken Robert"s book on Ives, page 286-7, detailing Ives patent "Pony Shoe' movement. Although we seem to have one of these in most of our auctions, this is an uncommon and desirable clock. Attractive rosewood case; no label. Movement photo, American Clock and Watch Museum. Height 24.5'
