Description

Refer to Royer-Collard"s book Skeleton Clocks, page 69, for full details on these well made little clocks that were produced for the Great Exhibition of 1851. Has a going barrel, anchor escapement and silk thread suspension. The alarm mechanism is housed in the base, with a set disc in the center of the dial. This example has a lovely engraved front plate and pendulum and is in exceptional condition. Height 9.7'
