Description
chisel bottom. This is a nice early school clock; see movement image and compare to Ken Robert's book on Ives, page 260. The movement is virtually identical, except for different shaped fusees. Note also original card label in bottom. There a couple of minor chips to the veneer around the top margin, but nothing that cannot be dealt with. The dial has been touched-up lightly around the attaching holes, but is ORIGINAL, including bottom margin signature of C. Jerome. Note also unique SIDE opening door for pendulum access and strike adjustment. The fellow who bought this in May found a ripple edge model he liked better. Height 22" $1500-1750
