Description
Jerome noted in his history that they sent clocks components made in Bristol to Richmond and assembled them there to avoid high Southern tariffs on completed clocks. This is a mahogany veneer 2-decker case with pineapple tops on upper columns. Lower glass a good quality reproduction. Center divider of case probably had a mirror, now a thin wooden panel. Note the top cornice is missing, replaced by tow horizontal moldings, one old wood, one new. The dial is old, but repainted in proper style. This would be $1500 if all original; Height 37" $750-1000
