Description

It is rare to find an 18th Century Austrian bracket clock in such good condition. This clock has a massive movement (2-day duration) with an interesting system for providing grand sonnerie striking on 2 bells. There is also an alarm train (see winding hole by the numeral I), with center set disc. Finally there is a pull repeat lever and string that gives full quarters on demand. The porcelain dial has a duplex curve, both convex and concave, and is in good condition. The time train is controlled by a crown wheel with verge, regulated with a silk thread pendulum. Running; Height 29'
