Description

12 inch brass dial, as-found. This movement came to us from storage in Maine, and is missing the rack, warning lever, and gathering pallet; it is otherwise complete and sound, with heavy baluster pillars (finely ringed), + bell, pulleys, hands and seatboard. It is a well made movement with calendar ring intact behind the dial; a new calendar gear has been installed, but still needs a pin to activate the ring. The dial itself with face spandrels in the corners and dolphin spandrels in the arch; the dial center with fine floral and scroll engraving. The arch with a removable circle on which is engraved the name of Edward Upjohn, Topham. Without pendulum or weights. Measures 12 x 16" $400-600
