Description

Soft wood case painted black, with hand painted floral accents and porcelain columns flanking the porcelain dial; brass movement and brass weights; 22" tall x 10" wide; condition: good, with a small scuff under the upper finial. The clock runs well and strikes on the hours. Dealer comments: The orangish color that appears on View no. 2 (the close-up of the clock front) is the reflection from a nearby ceiling light. Actually the coloration on the top of the clock is even and uniform. The two brass weights are old replacements in all likelihood. The top finial is a later replacement. You can see a mark below that finial indicating that the original finial projected down over the crown face a bit.
