Description
There are no markings on the clock or the movement, but it is definitely a high-grade clock and running well. The movement looks very similar to the American-made Ansonia. The face is porcelain and in wonderful condition with very lovely numberings. It is inscribed with '8 Day'. There is also a small second hand dial. The shape of this clock is very elegant with its soft curves leading up to its peaked top. It stands a modest 4 inches high, 3 inches wide and 2 inches deep but weighs just shy of 2 pounds. There are remnants of the original gold plating but most of it is rubbed away leaving a very nice aged patina. There is a small dent inches long on the peak, but it is a very minor.
