Description
Laden with Barrels", as identified in Derek Roberts' Mystery, Novelty and Fantasy Clocks, page 258. The front ends of the barrels are set with a clock, barometer and circular thermometer. The 8-day clock is a small rear wind unit with cylinder platform (note balance staff pivot is broken). The other instruments are intact. The porcelain time dial bears the name: "Alibert, Ingenieur Opticien, Rue de Rivol, Paris". This is an uncommon item that should be attractive to someone who already has a locomotive; other than the broken balance, it is in good original condition. Height 8 inches
